I’m so excited about the upcoming Sephora sale, which is their Friends & Family event. I’m a VIB member, and to me, this is like my year-end shopping spree! The Sephora sale starts on September 5th.

So, here’s the thing. I don’t know any Sephora employees, but I still get the discount every year. And no, I don’t get it by asking on social media. Seriously, do you think people will just give away a link that everyone wants? Getting what you want requires a little bit of effort, so let’s get to it!

Here are some methods I’ve used over the years to get my hands on the Sephora sale link. You can save this for later, and if you can’t get it this year, you can be ready for the next one. The closer it gets to the start of the sale, the harder it is to find a working link.

1. Reddit’s Sephora Subreddit

Every year, they have a “Sale Code Sharing Megathread.” All you have to do is sort the comments by “New” and refresh. You’ll definitely find some active links in there!

2. Facebook Groups

Search for “Sephora sale” on Facebook. Then, sort by the most recent posts and refresh. You might find a few people who have a link they are willing to share.

3. DMing People on Social Media

Occasionally, an employee or a good samaritan will share their link on social media. When you see a post like this, don’t comment on the post! Just DM them directly. The person will probably get too many messages, and the platform might limit their account. DMing them ensures you can get the link before they get restricted.

4. Ask at a Store

If you can’t get a link online, go to your local Sephora. Find a kind-looking employee and ask if their link is still working. If it’s not, just move on to the next employee. A lot of the time, they have plenty of extra links, but most people don’t ask.

These are all proven methods for getting the Sephora sale discount. I just don’t understand why people wait around for someone to just give them a link when it’s so easy to find one yourself! I even found one on LinkedIn once—you just have to get creative! Good luck!

Additionally, I also want to discuss with everyone the question of “when is the next sephora sale”, as many people have asked me about it.

Colorful makeup products on displaySo, you’re itching to know when Sephora’s dropping its next big sale in 2025? Let’s get into it, super chill and straight-up. Sephora’s been dialing back since 2022, going from a wild 572 promo codes in 2020 to about 135-182 now. You gotta be smart to catch those deals!

2025 Sales by Month

  • January: Solid skincare deals, like 50% off daily brand specials in the Skincare Sale.
  • February: Quiet vibes. Valentine’s Day and Presidents’ Day mean points perks, not major discounts.
  • March: Hit-or-miss, but keep an eye on 50% Off One-Day Deals, rivaling Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty.
  • April: Major score! Beauty Insider Spring Sale (April 4-15) offers 10-20% off based on your tier.
  • May: Mixed bag with Oh Hair Yeah! hair sale and Memorial Day deals, up to 50% off.
  • June: Decent deals, but not as crazy as pre-pandemic days.
  • July: Summer Deal Week and National Lipstick Day (July 29) bring up to 50% off lip goodies.
  • August: App-Only Offers to hype mobile shopping—keep that app handy!
  • September: Friends & Family Sale early in the month, 20% off with an employee code (if you’re lucky).
  • October: Oh Hair Yeah! fall hair sale and National Brow Day, up to 50% off.
  • November: Holiday Savings Event (Nov 1-11), a big 10-20% off for members.
  • December: Holiday gift sets, year-end clearances, and the Gifts for All Event with 20% off for members.

Key 2025 Sale Dates (Predicted)

  • Spring Beauty Insider Sale: April 4-15, 10-20% off, super reliable.
  • Oh Hair Yeah! Spring Hair Sale: April 30-May 11, up to 50% off, solid bet.
  • National Lipstick Day: July 29, up to 50% off lip stuff, don’t miss it!
  • Friends & Family Sale: Early September, 20% off with a code, decent chance.
  • Oh Hair Yeah! Fall Hair Sale: Early October, up to 50% off, reliable.
  • Holiday Savings Event: Nov 1-11, 10-20% off, locked in.
  • Gifts for All Event: Early December, 20% off for members, very likely.

Why Membership’s a Game-Changer

Over half the deals (56%) are exclusive to Beauty Insider members, and 72% need a $30-$100 minimum spend. Higher tiers like VIB or Rouge score better discounts and early access. Hit Rouge ($1000/year), and you could save at least $100 during the big spring and fall sales.

How to Save Big in 2025

  1. Plan for the April and November Beauty Insider sales—they’re the heavy hitters.
  2. Grab category-specific deals: skincare in January, hair in May/October, perfumes in December.
  3. Weigh if VIB or Rouge status is worth it for extra perks and bigger discounts.
  4. Don’t snooze on one-day events like National Lipstick Day for killer deals.

Stay savvy, and happy shopping!
