In 1818, the Brooks Brothers brand was born in the United States. Founder Henry Sands Brooks opened a company in the northeast corner of the junction of Catharine Street and Cherry Street in New York City. In 1850, Henry’s four sons inherited the family business Brooks Brothers clothing store was officially established. And officially adopted “Golden Sheep” as the company’s trademark.
